mily Lynch is a Principal at Origin Advocacy and has a decade of political and policy experience, which includes key roles in both personal offices and on committee in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate.

During her time in government, Emily successfully authored bipartisan legislation that was signed into law by President Barack Obama. This also included provisions that were adopted in the National Defense Authorization Act.

 

Emily got her start in government serving on the committee staff for U.S. Senator Susan Collins as she served as the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. During this time Emily worked with the Staff Director for the committee with preparation for hearings, markups, briefings, and facilitated committee investigations.

 

After serving on the committee, Emily joined the policy staff of U.S. Congresswoman Virginia Foxx where she managed Congresswoman’s Foxx’s responsibilities before the House Rules Committee and handled appropriations and a broad domestic policy portfolio that included but was not limited to energy, defense, and transportation issues.

 

Emily next returned to the U.S. Senate and served on the policy team of U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte and was responsible for managing transportation issues before the Senate Commerce Committee.
